Whitecaps
Another cold one, but when the weather bar is set this low, you have to ride if you can in 52 degrees and sunshine. We have been in the 20's overnight, and just had snow yesterday. So like I said, this SHOULD have felt like a day at the beach.
It didn't.
I was cold.
I did 15 miles/8 laps of the crit course and on the portion of the lap where I have a good view of the water, there they were...
Whitecaps.
There was only about a 5-10 mph breeze inland, but the wind must be stronger out over Lake Winnie and it must carry that to shore before it is slowed down by trees and buildings. Because it felt a lot stronger there than inland, and those whitecaps prove it.
Anyway, at least I got out for a spell.
That post-ride hot shower never felt better! Some day it will be warm, or at least that is what I keep telling myself.
I feel I've at least earned that bag of pistachio's that has my name on it as a game night snack. Big Bucks game against the 76er's tonight in Milwaukee!
