Shadowy Ride

Technically, due to the lights on in the cycling room today, I did see my shadow while riding. I guess that means on this Groundhog Day that there will be at least six more weeks of me riding indoors.

Or something like that.

Solid Carmichael today, once again holding true to the following formula for the speed display on the computer:

-Easy effort segments/low 13's

-Medium effort segments/low 15's

-Hard effort segments/low 17's

At the 23-minute mark during the mid-break of the workout I was too warm, having not started the fan before the ride. I had a hoodie on over the top of a T-shirt. So I peeled off the hoodie and the sweat let loose.

I must say there's something rather cool about seeing sweat drip off your arms or nose while you are riding indoors like this. It just makes it seem like you're really doing more than you are.

No issues today. Have to tighten up my eating though so that I can drop a few pounds in the coming weeks as I slowly get back into riding shape and riding weight for the return of outdoor riding in spring.
