Question for you.

How can the final 30 seconds of a hard-effort segment of a Carmichael workout go by so slowly when the same 30 seconds of the easy-effort recovery segment just fly by?

Happened to me today.

From the start I had no pop in my legs today. There was no power. There was only a bit of a struggle to make it through each section. I'm not sure why that is. Maybe it was because I started a little later than usual in the early afternoon, creeping up on my nap time! Or maybe it was because I rode after eating lunch. Could have been a little of both. Maybe I'm just tired of being tired and trapped inside in this horrible polar vortex weather stretch we are in the middle of where I live.

In any case, it's another Carmichael, and the streak goes on. Since the very first ride of the new indoor riding season this year I have done nothing less than a Carmichael, something that has never happened in years past. It's kind of a cool little streak I have going on now.
