(NOT) Easy Like a Sunday Morning
Greetings from on the bike on a Sunday morning, a late-morning workout fueled in a couple of ways by the Green Bay Packers.
I suppose I'm still on a bit of a high after my beloved Pack made big-town LA and it's Rams look foolish at Lambeau Field on Saturday evening, as Green Bay advances to the NFC title game next weekend with the win.
Reason number two this game fueled me was because I felt the need to burn off some of the calorie intake from the chips and salsa and BBQ pulled pork I ate while watching!
So as I started today's Carmichael routine, I began in one higher (harder) gear than normal, meaning all of the segments through the 45 minutes were slightly amped up from normal. I did this to make the workout tougher and in the hopes that I would break through the 10-mile mark for the workout.
Well, I did it, but not by much. 10.6 miles today. Man it is difficult to up that number during the course of a 'normal' Carmichael.
Still, a good sweat and 10.6 miles later I feel good about the effort.
It is also interesting to note that every indoor training session I have done thus far in the new 2021 season has been a Carmichael. That has never happened before.
Now, back to watching more Sunday football.
