My first tip-off should have been how quiet it seemed on the 10 miles heading out on this, one of my original routes out in the countryside.

My second tip-off should have been how easy it was to just noodle along, protecting my bad left leg.

Somewhere around six or seven miles into this ride I realized, oh, tailwind. Crap. That means headwind home for 10 miles.

My leg felt okay for most of the way out, but tired and started nagging me on that ride back into the headwind. It is holding up, but not much more than that.

I guess it's just going to be that way for the rest of this year's outdoor season.

Very frustrating.
