Holy Heat!
For early May, this felt more like August.
86 degrees with a feels like temp of 92!
Sunny too.
And this ride took place between 10:30 a.m. and noon.
On the first few laps of my crit course I was actually a little cool while riding along the lake with the breeze coming off the water. By lap seven that had already turned into cooling, refreshing breeze in that section of the lap.
I stuck close to home because there was some question about my front tire. When I got on the bike it felt funny. Sure enough, that front tire was pretty soft. I pumped it up but suspected there is a slow leak of some kind. I didn't want to tempt fate, so I stayed near the house.
The tire held up for the entire 20 miles, so I am not sure what is going on now. I will have to see how it feels after giving it over 24 hours. It still could be a slow leak of some kind because there is no reason for it to have gone that soft after only 48 hours.
I just took it easy today.
There isn't much in the old body to give these days.
Get up at 3:00 and work on the air, then get home and face riding when all you want to do is nap, well, that has been tough for me to get going.
