Getting better, slowly
So I got back out today to test the groin/leg injury.
Not bad. I'd say today there was less pain at the top of the pedal stroke than I have felt in a couple of months. Maybe at 80% now. All I did was spin, with no pressure on the leg at all.
It did bark when I got off the bike.
I think there is a lot of unconscious accommodating goin on with the body.
Still, I am thankful to have been able to get out there.
Wore my Missoula Bike shop jersey today. Felt great to be out on the road in it, and it always brings back good memories of the out visit to a really cool little college town out west.
I'll take today. Sure I'm a mere shadow of my cycling self, but the point is I'm still able to get out there.
Needless to say, there will NOT be a "Ride my Age" adventure next week. Not this year.
Oh, and I guess I could share the news here as well. I have been very busy starting a new job with one of the largest broadcasting companies in the country, Cumulus Broadcasting. I am the new host of the News-Talk 1490 WOSH morning show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
First day on the air is Monday morning, August 23rd, which will mark the 6th decade I have broadcast in.
