Wonderfully Lost

Today I spent some seriously quiet time today on some seriously quiet country roads, with no sign of a vehicle for miles at a time. There was nothing out there but me and the wind. This was a real head-clearer of a ride that featured me once again getting lost.

I wanted to expand on the Dundas Loop, so I had gotten an idea for a bit of plan ahead of time on a map. But as is the case so many times, when you get out there in the real world a lot of little country road intersections do not have street signs. I turned right too early I think. But what a view. What a road. What great weather. Who cared if I didn't know exactly where I was!

I came up on yet another little church in the area of (I think) some place called Woodville.

Anyway, I stopped to stretch and take this photo for the blog post.

The intersection of B and BB was here, but both looked to me to "BE" too busy for my taste, so I took the tiny country road less traveled.

While it was very pretty without a soul around, it did get me turned around enough to the point of being lost. It's not the kind of panicky lost you can get, just lost in a general vicinity of where you are used to being.

Still, with miles racking up, I didn't want to go too far out of my way so at one point I stopped to check Google Maps, which told me a couple of turns to take. I did. And lo and behold I was right back on the road I had come out on. No problems.

In the end it was a nice long 36 mile ride spending time with one of my favorite people.....me.
