...and topless too!
Boy oh boy, you never know what you'll see while out on any given ride. Today, there I was minding my own business on the Lake Loop lap when I saw her appear seemingly from out of nowhere.
What a beauty. I couldn't help but stare at her.
Wow, what a shape.
Those curves.
Her body glistening in the afternoon sunshine.
And the best part...she had no top!
Oh yeah, what a car.
A beautiful blue 1967 Corvette convertible with the top down.
Perfect. She rumbled past me and I had thoughts of giving chase, but knew it would be fruitless.
Seeing that car cheered me up on what was a rather dull event ride today, once again blocked by construction!
I told myself I would never ride on "G" again because it just seems too narrow and dangerous out there.
So it has been a awhile but today for some reason I tried it. My first clue should have been how little traffic there was at first. Nothing. Huh, this is kinda nice I thought....until I saw the signs at about six miles into the ride.
Are you kidding me?! Yet another one of my routes totally blocked by construction. That makes three routes I use to get out of town now blocked.
So I turned around and finished a rather uninspired 16 mile ride. I just wasn't into it today, despite the nice weather. My pal Jerry, my two-wheeled mentor always told me to just not do it if you're not enjoying it.
I wasn't.
So I came home and was cheered up by the sight of that beautiful '67 Vette along the way.
Maybe my mind and body will feel better about it all tomorrow.
