Back Issue
I thought I'd give it a try despite some back pain issues earlier in the day. I mean, sun and a muggy 85 degrees is too good of a weather day to NOT ride for me.
But the last couple of days I picked up some sharp pain, not in my lower back as is typical, but at almost halfway up.
Doesn't hurt most of the time, but bend in just a certain way when getting up off a chair, or even cough while sitting and it feels like a knife was stuck into your back.
I did a few chores, grabbed some lunch, then decided to go soak up some of that summer-like heat in an easy ride.
But the back acted up on the bike. I felt fine riding in my normal position, but hitting bumps, and trying to sit up a bit to drink was an adventure in pain....the kind that takes your breath away. But most times I could still ride.
Maybe I was compensating somehow because my left hamstring was also barking for some reason.
All in all it just wasn't what I had expected, so I finished a lap in the neighborhood and pulled off.
Better days ahead I guess.
