What a Diff

What a difference 24 hours can make.

It was just 24 hours ago that I was feeling pretty good about myself after a nice long 30-mile ride in the countryside.

Here it is 24 hours later and there's nothing but a sour taste in my mouth.

I almost felt obligated to at least push myself out the door for a few laps knowing that the forecast for around here includes both the words 'frost' and 'flurries' over the next few days. No way I'm riding in that cold stuff.

Today....not bad. The sun is out and 56 degrees, but once again that cold wind at 10-12 mph steady off the water just makes it feel raw out there.

I had my winter riding jacket on today!

After six laps I decided that was enough exercise. So feeling like a slug with an empty tank, I pulled off the course and hit the shower to warm myself up.

I really need to be in Florida.

Not every day can be a winner!
