First Bare Legs!

Well this is always a benchmark to the new riding season.

On what was a last-minute, unplanned ride today, I had bare knees in the breeze for the first time in 2020.

Some days are all about anticipating getting out there to get a ride in.

Then there are days like today.

Riding was nowhere on my radar for today, but the rain in the forecast held off.

At about noon when I caught up with my PhilCast show material in my studio I poked my head outside.

Hmmmmm, sunny and mild. I checked my weather app, which said expect storms by 2:00ish.

Heck, that's plenty of time to get a nice warm ride in!

Not bad at all.

60 degrees and mostly sunny with a dark sky on the horizon by the time I finished. A cold front is bringing rain and 40's for the next several days, so I was super-pumped to be able to take advantage of the mild temp today by getting out for some laps in the neighborhood.

Felt fine today. No issues.

TONS of people were getting out as well. There were walkers everywhere.

Funny, for the last two rides I have looped laps in my neighborhood, and on both rides there has been someone shooting hoops at a small park area I go past.

BOTH rides....EVERY lap...I would see a guy shooting hoops by himself take a jump shot and miss. It became a game for me on each lap. Would this be the lap that I would finally see someone make a basket?

Nope.

Both days.

Both rides.

Both guys.

Every time they took a jump shot as I was going by they missed.

Ironic, that's all.

Who knew there were so many dogs in my neighborhood. Good to see people out, even if it is for all the wrong reasons wth this coronavirus lock down situation.
