No Refreshing Needed
What's it gonna take? Moving to Florida?
What's it gonna take for me to not feel cold out there on a bike?
This view right here used to be a nice refreshing stop for a picture. No refreshing needed today!
In the autumn this is such a pretty view.
It's just ugly now.
I took a lap of my Lake Loop route just to start out with a little change of scenery.
The plan was to then circle back and do some Neighborhood Crit route laps. Riding out on the Lake Loop and back I felt fine. Not warm mind you, but not cold either. I was feeling good about the prospects of more than 10 miles for today.
But as soon as I did one lap on the Neighborhood Crit I was freezing once again. I guess I live too close to Lake Winnie, and as I do a lap I look out at a big ice cube and it's no wonder the wind off that thing chills me to the bone.
I pulled off after that one lap.
I know this much....SUNSHINE would make all the difference in the world as to how 48 degrees feels at this time of year in Wisconsin. We just need some sun!
On the plus side, a shot of WD40 on my pedals where my cleats clip in took care of yesterday's horrible squeaking sound.
