The things you see

I waited.

Then I waited some more.

I waited again.

I debated not even going out.

It just would not warm up today, and the cold wind persisted.

Sunny, sure.

But 41 degrees with a wind chill of 34.

Yuk.

I forced myself outside at 2:30 to at least get a little appetizer ride in. That's all this was. Maybe a Cesar Salad at best.

On one stretch of the neighborhood laps there were a ton of cars parked. I wondered what this was all about, and quickly had a pretty good idea when I rode past THIS in a front yard....

There was a giant inflatable unicorn set up.

Obviously some kid was having a birthday party inside.

Then a little farther down that same road I came across a tomato plant cage just randomly rolling around in the street.

Like I said, the things you see sometimes on a ride.

Only did seven laps in the neighborhood. I was cold and not much into it, so each time I rode past my house I would glance down to see if there were tire tracks from my wife pulling into the garage. On lap seven it was clear she had come home from the grocery store and it was time for me to take a nice hot shower and begin prep for cooking a nice meal tonight.
