Well I finally got around to taking a ride. Last time I posted it here is was Aug. 27th. Heck I even used some sun screen today.

It was a combination of lousy, uninspiring weather and just my general blah motivation that kept me away for a while.

But today I had a chance to at least ease back into it, and that's exactly what I did with some laps around my neighborhood.

So much rain lately, so on this dry and somewhat sunny afternoon it was kind of fun to see a lot of neighbors I know out either working in their yards or taking in a walk. There were many waves. I wonder if they see me, that guy on the bike going around and around, as one of the staples of the neighborhood each summer.

I stopped at the end of my ride to chat with two of them.

Nothing fancy here, just 10 laps, with a little bit of push on the odd-numbered laps, taking corners at speed and accelerating out of the turn out of the saddle.

Felt good to get a little sweat in.
