The road called today and once again, I answered.
How could you not?
Just look at that view.
The only thing that kept this from being the perfect weather for riding was the wind because there was little bit too much of it at 10-15 mph into my face on the way out.
For the second day in row my ride somewhat mimicked the day's stage at the Tour de France. While yesterday was about effort and climbing, today, just like in France, it was about just taking it easy and spinning out my tired legs.
Today was about taking in the scenery and sunshine, and it was spectacular. These are the days I dream about during the long and ugly Wisconsin winters.
And in honor of an Italian leading at Le Tour I wore an Italia jersey today.
Off to the Iola Old Car show Saturday, so a much-needed rest off the bike, but lots of walking.
Between the Tour de France on TV and this stretch of dry, sunny, hot weather it has been a week filled with inspiration and rides.
OH....I almost forgot.
The route title of Little GCO. You see it's just like Little GTO (The names of the roads I follow) only shorter with an early turn onto a road that starts with a "C", the one you see in the picture....that beautiful canopied stretch of marvelous!
