2019 Outdoor Season: Ride #22

The Miles: 27.0

The Time: 2:01

The Ave. Speed: 13.4 mph

The Weather: Sunny and warm, 82, Wind 10-12 mph

Season Total Miles: 452.0

Well I have to say that once again, the Tour de France has not disappointed.

What a start to the 2019 edition.

Fireworks at the end of Stage 1, and then a shocker at the end of the TTT the next day.

I love summer, the month of July and the Tour de France!

So after watching in the morning and then taking care of some other things around the house, I grabbed some brunch and headed out later than usual today, with a depart time of 2:40ish.

All seemed to be going fine, but at about mile 17 I hit some sort of wall. My legs were heavy and dead. My breathing labored. By mile 18 of the 27 it was a mere chore, a disappointment after the Tour-inspired start to the ride.

But some days you just don't have much in your legs for whatever reason.

Glorious weather too.

It was a pretty good ride, but I feel under the circumstances (having time/great weather/Tour de France) that I should have accomplished more today.
