The Story

It's true.

Absence DOES make the heart grow fonder.

It had been a while since I was out riding, due to the fact that a lot has been keeping me busy behind the scenes.

But today, with the sun out and the winds light as my schedule, I pumped up the tires and off I went to hit some country road miles.

And what good head-clearing miles they were. I rode inspired, with an enthusiasm I hadn't felt in a while. I was really enjoying the ride today, remembering how nice it is to be able to be out sucking in fresh air and sunshine in the middle of a weekday.

The Rainbow Jersey Bike Shop throwback gloves were by choice today. Ahhhh, my old bike shop in Shorewood. I miss those days.

And yes, speaking of bike shops, my computer was indeed working fine today after I was the one who figured out how to reset everything after the shop guys at Cranked gave up on it a couple of weeks ago.

I still chuckle about that. Nothing against them. I know they think my Cateye wireless computer is ancient and I should 'get a Garmin' as the ad says. So I think that's why they just gave up on it.

Works fine for me!
