The Story

The story of this ride is two-fold.

For one thing, this 8th ride of the season was much colder than it should ever feel for the middle of April.

It was also an historical ride, since as I was turning pedals in Wisconsin, USA, Notre Dame was still burning in France. What a horrible, horrible story ruining this day.

Anyway, I figured I could stop at any time if I felt too cold today, which is the beauty and purpose of using this crit route. By doing laps I am never far from home if I decide to pull the plug on a ride.

But I managed to finish all 10 laps. Granted, my toes were getting quite cold by the end, and I'm not sure where all the snot comes from, but it certainly keep coming!

These are NOT my favorite conditions to ride in. But here's hoping this will be the last ride of the spring when the first numeral of the temp is a '4'!
