The Story
On this dreary, wet mid-term election day I decided to set things up on the trainer and begin the indoor season. As much as I hate it, this is Wisconsin after all.
I have my old Klein on the trainer, and today I thought about bringing up my good road bike, the Specialized Roubaix, to the indoor cycling area to sit for it's long winter's nap. But at the last minute I changed my mind, holding onto some sort of hope that there will still be a sunny 40-degree November day that provides dry roads and one last chance at riding outside in 2018.
Here's my view from the flight deck of the trainer. At least I can see outside if not ride in it.
I decided to put a little music on for my half-hour easy spin to ease into the season. So I played radio roulette, hitting the scan button knowing I'd stop on the first song I like and leave it there for the ride.
I don't listen to music on the radio so this was a real crap shoot.
I ended up on WVBO because they were playing some classic Pat Benatar. Good enough for me.
The Selle Italia saddle on this indoor bike is the best saddle I've ever had. But it takes some getting used to coming off the one I use all summer. Apparently my butt has gone soft.
I'll have to do something about that....like start making riding the trainer a habit unfortunately.
