The Story

Sunday;

The plan was to rest and recover since, after all, the weather was forecast to be sketchy if not downright stormy.

All morning it was windy and cloudy.

Then, right around lunchtime the sun came out and there were blue patches of sky. Forecast still said storms were on the way, but that sun makes me soooo guilty if I'm not out taking advantage of it with a ride.

My wife suggested I could just do some laps. That way if the weather suddenly turned I would always be close to home.

So off I went, getting my dose of sunshine in the saddle.

It's hot, and maybe that explains it. Maybe everyone was inside in their air conditioning because no one was out on the route today. Pretty quiet in the neighborhood this time around.

The last two laps were laborious. My legs are tired. But that sun!
