The Story

Beautiful, isn't it?

On this the final day of a stretch of mild temps in the low 60's, the melting of these ugly snow piles continues on my neighborhood training route. Lap after lap I not only have to see this junk but ride through the puddles they cause in the road as well.

The wet conditions combined with all the winter debris on the road makes for one messy bike after each ride I have done this week. But who's complaining? At least I have been able to put some miles in and begin the process of working my way into some semblance of shape.

I felt pretty good today, in part thanks to my decision to wear a wind jacket on top. With a little more wind today coming off the lake, that 63 degrees didn't feel as warm as you'd think.

All in all it has been a good week of riding. Back into the 40's with rain predicted for a couple of days now, so it's time to wait out Mother Nature once again before I get back on the road.
