The Story
Yesterday the ride title was "Lost & NOT Found", so it seemed to turn it around for today's ride made perfect sense.
Glove found. Me lost.
First of all, the glove that I lost lost yesterday WAS found. To hear how that story played out, just listen to my PhilCast show from this date by CLICKING HERE.
Less than 24 hours later and 10 degrees warmer, I was out there on the road again. For the first time this season I ventured outside of my neighborhood crit course and promptly got lost.
Nothing serious mind you. It was that kind of lost where you sort of know where you are and you know it's not all that far away from home but still, you're lost.
Classic Phil.
At one point I was riding past a small air field. I looked it up when I got home. Turns out this is it....rode right past this sign.

I didn't want to venture out too far away for fear of getting a flat today.
a) These are tires from last season. I have not had the chance to get new skins for the new season yet. It's early.
b) There is a lot of winter junk on the sides of the roads, especially out in the countryside. Plenty of opportunity for a flat, something I am not the best at changing. Okay, let's be honest, I'm horrible at it.
Speaking of horrible, that's pretty much how I felt today. My legs were stiff and my hip muscles over the replacement side were sore. Feels like everything is just a bit out of whack with that entire side right now.
Oddly, despite being lost for a short time, this ride turned out to be exactly the same length as my 11 laps on the crit course yesterday, an even 21 miles.
So two days of good weather for the month of February equals 42 miles for me. I'll take it.
Time to go wipe down the road bike and put it away once again. Snow in the forecast for tomorrow.
