Yes, I seem to have taken a detour backward on the bike.
I've written about this before, yet I continue to be amazed at how quickly fitness on a bike can slip away, considering how much work it takes to get there.
After feeling real good about myself on Thursday of last week, I have now quickly fallen back a bit. Today was a bit of a chore on the bike, with stiff legs and tiredness setting in for the final 10 minutes or so. And this was just a basic 45-minute Carmichael workout.
Four days in a row off the bike and that's the payback you get. Like I said, fitness fades in a hurry. I felt like I was starting over today.
Oh well, at least on my Weigh-In Wednesday for Week 4 I can report a loss of .6 of a pound. It has only been a total loss of 1.5 in the four weeks, slow to be sure. But at least I am going in the right direction.
