The Story

...and that's a cold shot baby.

While it's a great song, it's not so great on a bike.

That's about as cold as I am ever going to ride in...38 and a constant little wind coming off the water. Not fun.

I almost didn't even go out there today, but because the sun was at least out, I put on every layer of clothing I have and gave it a try. That's because I know there lies ahead of me a stretch when even having the option of riding outside will be off the table, with nothing more than a trainer workout possible for me.

I cut this one short from my usual 10 laps because the ride was just not coming to me. I thought maybe I'd warm up a bit and get into a rhythm but it never happened.

It all just felt cold and forced.

So I did five laps and then a few blocks just to hit a nice round number at 10 miles in the book.

Brrr.
