The Ride Route: Neighborhood Crit, 10 laps

Miles: 19

Time: 1:04

Ave. Speed: 15.6 mph

Weather: Partly Cloudy and cool, 44, Wind, 5-10 mph

Total Outdoor 2017 Miles: 1,412

The Story

Well at the least sun was out, for HALF of the ride before the clouds rolled in.

For me, a big cold weather weenie, this sent a shiver through my bones.

I know, I know, it wasn't all THAT bad.

But 44 degrees with a wind chill and some clouds ain't good in my book either.

So this was a ride of firsts...

-First full-fingered gloves of the season

-First balaclava of the season

-First wool riding socks of the season

-First riding jacket of the season

I felt pretty good turning the laps, but was happy when I was on the final 10th time around.

It was just enough to get some needed exercise. Before you know it those roads will have snow and ice on them and it will be back to the trainer inside.

Yuk.
