The Story
I will be no means say that I felt great out there today, but I WILL say I felt pretty good, at least much better than yesterday's white-hot mess of a meltdown on the road.
Today I rolled out later, waiting until after a lunch of a turkey sandwich, a peach and two ibuprofen. I was hoping this would help in the fight against a bonk like I had yesterday.
I started slow but worked into the ride, no doubt helped by the fact that this weather today may just be perfect for riding.
This Fairview Loop is pretty much the same as my GTL route, expect it is just a tad longer and without as many of the rolling hills.

It also puts me riding over the water at the Trestle Trail Bridge at one point, where the view on a sunny blue day is never any less beautiful than the time before.

Speaking of views, I was going to stop to take a picture of that view I talked about in an earlier post at the top of a hill overlooking the Wisconsin farmland.
But there was more than view there today.
There was a smell too. Ahhh, Wisconsin farms in the summer.
I opted to keep riding to get to fresher air faster in this case.
So better today than yesterday....and perhaps better still tomorrow? This makes four days of riding in a row now for me.
