The Story
So here we are at the start of another football season.

I love watching my Packers on any given Sunday, but in September on a nice sunny afternoon, riding comes first, even if it is opening day for the team.
The nice part about today, in addition to the fact that the weather is just perfect, the Packers open at home against Seattle in the late game, starting at 3:30.
That allows for plenty of time to get a ride in as my pre-game before settling into my 'game chair' now that football is back.
And a good ride it was too. I felt great the entire 26 miles, now feeling that the rust of Saturday's return to the bike had melted off already.
On this GTL Loop route there is a spot on "T" where you climb up for a bit and then it clears out on your left, giving you a wonderful view from up high of the Wisconsin farmland stretching out as far as the eye can see.
What a sight.
When I get up there and look at that I always thank the Lord for giving me the ability to be doing what I am doing on the bike, and the clarity to appreciate what is right in front of me.
This route is all about rolling hills, nothing steep, but some of them are quite long slogs at a steady uphill. I handled them well today. I feel I have earned the pull pork I now smell slowly roasting in our kitchen as our halftime meal today.
Football and the Packers are back!
