0 Runs, 0 Hits, 1 Air
For some reason today, as I got ready to ride watching the snow outside my window, I reached down to pinch the rear tire of my Klein on the trainer, one of those trainers where the tire is pressed up against a roller. The tire was a bit soft.
This is a reminder to from time to time check air pressure and add some air to that rear tire.
You see, as the tire goes soft, the friction decreases and it becomes progressively easier to pedal. You end up cheating a bit, without even perhaps realizing it.
I felt the difference today.
With the proper tire pressure it was more difficult than I had become used to while making the medium and hard effort segments of the Carmichael workout.
So make sure to check that rear tire pressure from time to time.
Also, I think the time has come to retire my favorite old bibs from the Quickstep team. It's time.
It's past time.
But you know what?
I think after they come out of the next wash, I will 'retire' them and honor all the miles in them by hanging them up as part of the décor of the cycling room. Better than throwing them out.
Felt pretty good today.
Interesting note: The 45-minute Carmichael, which used to be mixed in with other shorter and less difficult rides, is now the minimum time riding I have spent all indoor season. Nothing less than a Carmichael thus far. This may be an interesting goal to set...to keep this up all the way to the start of the outdoor season????
NBC....Nothing but Carmichaels.
